We are looking for a Systems Support Administrator to administer and implement systems in the corporate and public online environment. The role will also be required to provide 2nd tier support of the systems maintained and implemented within SEGA Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining production web servers.
- Developing automated build tools in a corporate team environment to support live operations.
- Supporting emerging technologies such as cloud-based deployments.
- Installation and configuration of Windows and Linux servers.
- Ensure back-up and recovery procedures are in place.
- Follow best work practices provided by vendors.
- Installing and configuring both MS SQL and MYSQL.
- Provide detailed documentation regarding all aspects of server-related work.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding installing and supporting Linux (RedHat/CentOS).
- Strong understanding installing and supporting Microsoft Windows 2008 R2.
- Strong experience with the following technologies;
- Mysql.
- Ruby.
- PHP.
- Perl.
- Puppet/Chef.
- Web security (mod_security, selinux).
- Networking, TCP/IP, DNS.
- Microsoft Active Directory.
- PowerShell.
- VMware.
- Experience with SAN technologies.
- Proven experience working with and implementing alerting/monitoring systems.
- Experience using cloud computing environments.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise tasks based on variety of factors.
- Identify potential issues and resolve in a proactive manner.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proven history of experience in a server support role.
