This role sits within Telefónica UK within the HR Operations team.
The HR Project Consultant is responsible for the implementation and in-life management of people processes and practices in Telefónica UK working closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and European Centres of Excellence, to drive a consistently great employee experience across the UK
We are looking for a high performing HR generalist and project manager who has experience of cultural change, employee communications and employee engagement, who is genuinely passionate about the employee experience
Responsibilities:
- To project manage the implementation of regular, new and adhoc HR processes and practices end to end to ensure a consistently great employee experience, including engaging key stakeholders and managing multiple interfaces (e.g. European Centres of Excellence, HRBPs, European People Services, line managers and external providers) e.g. annual performance review, pay reviews, external award entries, people PR activity, health and wellbeing interventions, onboarding and induction, talent management, employee involvement processes etc.
- To work with the European Centres of Excellence, HRBPs and Internal Communications team to develop and deliver cultural change interventions and employee engagement interventions.
- To work closely with Learning and Development, HRBPs and across HR Operations to develop and deliver interventions to improve line manager capability.
- To work closely with line managers and HRBPs to identify improvements in HR processes and practices and work with the Centres of Excellence or other HR teams to ensure resolution.
- To engage with European People Services, Centres of Excellence, HRBPs and line managers to resolve issues and problems that occur during implementation and delivery of HR interventions and processes.
- To provide timely and expert advice on HR policy, process and practice on a broad range of HR areas e.g. annual performance review, annual pay reviews, job evaluations etc.
- To manage UK vendor relationships including commercial aspects to ensure delivery of a great employee experience e.g. DBM Outplacement, Health and Wellbeing providers, Employee Engagement providers, PR agencies.
- To support the overall HR Operations team by undertaking other HR Operation’s tasks, activities and projects as required, including travel to other site and locations.
- To resolve escalations from European People Services in a timely and effective manner.
Essential skills, attributes and experiences
- A thorough understanding of HR policy and processes.
- Experience in project managing the implementation of a range of HR processes and practices including managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in supporting the design and implementation of new and updated HR policies and processes.
- Experience of culture change, employee communications and engagement.
- 3-7 years generalist HR experience.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of a broad range of HR practices and processes.
- Ability to research, innovate and shape HR solutions.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and drive actions to deliver improvements.
- Influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
